Fountx_AsR leverages advanced human-computer interfaces in super-light and compact wearable technology and was developed in partnership with the CSIRO, Australia’s premier industrial research organisation.

The original product consisted of augmented reality technology that uses a wearable computer, helmet-mounted camera and a near-eye display to remotely connect technicians with aviation experts from around the world. When founded, the product was called Guardian Mentor Remote platform (GMR).

Australian company TAE Aerospace, Fountx’s parent company entered into a commercial arrangement to commercialise CSIRO’s GMR wearable technology system, making it available to the global aerospace industry as we see it today, Fountx_AsR.
